Flowhack 6 months UI/UX Bootcamp consists of 13 modules, weekly 1 on 1 mentor calls and assignments, to help you build an amazing portfolio & land a UI/UX designer job that you like.
Module 1
UI/UX Design intro and process
What is UI&UX design? What makes a good UI/UX designer? What is the design process?
Module 2
User research and synthesis
Learn user research methods. Identify user needs and pain points. Create affinity maps, personas and user journeys based on the findings.
Module 3
Ideation and Design tools
Brainstorm to come up with ideas and solutions. Learn how to use design tool such as Figma, sketch, adobe XD, InVision.
Module 4
User flows and Sitemaps
Run card sorting with 3 users to define information architecture. Create sitemaps and user flows.
Module 5
Wireframing and Prototyping
Learn Sketch or Adobe XD or Figma and design low fidelity wireframes. Create a prototype in Figma or InVision.
Module 6
Usability testing and iteration
Conduct usability tests with at least 3 users using your prototype. Improve your design based on test results.
Module 7
UI design and style guide
Learn to create design systems. Define style, colours, fonts, controls and icons for your style guide. Design final user interfaces.
Module 8
Build 3 case studies
While learning the design process, you will build 3 case studies including one responsive web, one mobile app and one redesign project.
Module 9
Make portfolio and CV stand out
You will build an online portfolio on Webflow and polish your CV for job applications.
Module 10
Network and apply for jobs
Optimize your LinkedIn profile, learn how to get referrals. Search for jobs that fit. Send out 6+ job applications.
Module 11
Interview preparation
Prepare for common interview questions. Improve your skills with a mock interview with your mentor.
Module 12
Design challenge
Complete a design challenge (part of UX interview process) assigned by your mentor, get feedback and tips.
Module 13
Career coaching
How to pass your trial period. Learn about: team collaboration, agile, MVP, design sprint, how to present & document your work…
